SOLAR ECLIPSE
RANGELY MAINE - APRIL 2024
It was a blindingly bright and crispy day April 8th in Rangely Maine. Crowds gathered around the town's snow-covered lake with an unobstructed view of our solar system's giant ball of plasma burning up above in anticipation of the total solar eclipse that would last a mere 2 minutes and 24 seconds at full coverage. As the countdown ticked closer to the big moment, the atmosphere dimmed to an indescribable dull color, the air chilled, and everyone's attention was skyward. The fateful moment when the sky turned to darkness, the stars emerged, a ghostly sunset appeared on the horizon, and a blackhole-like orb emerged where the sun normally stood was a mind-altering, spiritual experience.
